Guest Lecture

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) hosted a guest lecture by Drs. Arifin Kustiawan, a prominent figure from the Indonesian Tanners Association (ITA). The session focused on the topic: “Prospects for Leather Industry Development in Indonesia.” This insightful event brought together students, lecturers, and industry professionals to explore the future of the leather sector in Indonesia. Drs. Arifin Kustiawan shared valuable perspectives from his experience in the tanning industry, highlighting challenges and opportunities in both local and global markets. Drs. Arifin emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and industry players in advancing the leather sector. He also encouraged students to take part in leather research and entrepreneurial initiatives, especially in regions with strong livestock industries such as South Sulawesi.
