Pre-departure Orientation for Students Before Conducting Training at Europe

Pre-departure Orientation for Students before Conducting Training

The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), and Universitas Mataram (UNRAM), conducted a Pre-departure orientation for students selected to participate in an international training program in Turkey, Greece, and Italy. This orientation served as a crucial step in preparing students academically, culturally, and logistically before their departure. The training program, part of the ELEGTEC Project (Enhancing Leather Education, Green Tanning, and Entrepreneurship Cooperation), aims to strengthen students’ skills in leather processing, sustainable tanning, and the innovative use of animal by-products. During the orientation, students received detailed briefings on travel logistics, cultural adaptation, safety procedures, and expectations in each host country. The session also included guidance on academic conduct, cross-cultural communication, and adapting to international learning environments. Faculty leaders delivered encouraging remarks, reminding students of their role as ambassadors of Indonesia.
